Recognition Ceremony For Civilians Involved In Pentagon Recovery

WASHINGTON-- The Advisory Neighborhood Commission 8D will recognize civilian
members of the Crisis Relief Task Force on Saturday, February 23 at 3 p.m.
at the Washington Highlands Library in Southwest for their assistance with
recovery efforts at the Pentagon following the September 11 attack.

ANC 8D will present over 100 ceremonial resolutions to honor the civilian
members of the CRTF for assisting in the relief efforts at the Pentagon.
Members of CRTF include several Ward 8 residents recruited by ANC
Commissioner Robin Ijames. The ceremony will also serve to reunite the Task
Force and discuss crisis relief needs in the area. Councilmember Catania
(R- At Large) will be present to salute the honorees and to speak on the
importance of their efforts. Catania also introduced emergency relief
legislation to aid those affected by the Pentagon attack and helped honor
K-9 units involved in recovery efforts at the Pentagon.
