MEALS FOR RESIDENTS WITH HIV/AIDS, CANCER, AND OTHER LIFE-CHALLENGING ILLNESSES Washington, D.C. – Today, the staff of Councilmember David Catania (At-Large) visited Food & Friends in Northeast to help prepare Thanksgiving meals for individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses. While there, the staff helped transfer nearly 1,000 pounds of corn into 650 individual containers. The containers will be delivered along with other dishes to District residents on Thanksgiving.
