Catania Urges Residents to Attend NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo

15^th Annual Expo Will Be Held January 12-13, 2008

Councilmember David Catania encourages District residents to take advantage of the free screenings for blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol and other health issues, and make sure you are at the expo during the free giveaways at 10:30 am and 4:15 pm both days. Attendees could win a free one year membership to Fitness First, and gift certifications to Whole Foods and CVS among other prizes.

And, of course, Catania urges all residents to come to the expo to have fun! There will be golf, ski and snowboard simulators, indoor soccer for the kids, a rock climbing wall, and Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2! Listen to the Germanako twins from Biggest Loser tell their stories on Saturday at noon on the demo stage, and meet the brothers at the NBC4 booth. Attendees can also meet Jared Fogel—the Subway guy—to hear about how he lost 245 pounds in a year through diet and exercise. He’ll be at the Aetna Booth between 9:45 am to 4:00 pm.
