Resolution in N.H. House of Representatives Expresses Support for District Voting Representation
Earlier this week, by a vote of 11-6, the State-Federal Relations and Veteran’s Affairs Committee in the New Hampshire House of Representatives passed House Resolution 26. The resolution supports giving District residents a full voting representative in the United States Congress. On January 9, 2008 Mayor Adrian Fenty, Chairman Vincent Gray, and Councilmembers David Catania (At-Large), Kwame Brown (At-Large), Jack Evans, (Ward 2), Mary Cheh (Ward 3), Muriel Bowser (Ward 4), Tommy Wells (Ward 6), and Yvette Alexander (Ward 7) traveled to Concord, NH to testify in support of H.R. 26. H.R. 26 is expected to be considered by the full N.H. House of Representatives on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. |
