Says Track Record on Healthcare is Unmatched in Campaign
Washington, D.C. – Today, Councilmember David Catania (At-Large) endorsed Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) in the District’s presidential primary to be held Tuesday, February 12, 2008. In conjunction with the endorsement, Catania issued the following statement:
“As the Chairman of the D.C. Council’s Committee on Health, ensuring access to quality healthcare for our residents is my life’s work. Today, thousands of our children are insured by the Federal SCHIP program thanks in large part to Senator Hillary Clinton’s efforts. Senator Clinton’s long and distinguished track record of fighting for better healthcare for all Americans is unequaled in this campaign. I am proud to endorse her!”
Catania introduced Senator Clinton earlier this morning at a breakfast meeting of her D.C. Steering Committee. He stressed her track record of fighting for universal healthcare and noted her appeal to political independents like himself. To read more about Catania’s endorsement, click here. |
