Committee on Health Moves DHCF Director Nomination Forward

Catania Supports Pick for Director of Department of Health Care Finance.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Councilmember David Catania (I-At-Large), Chairman of the Committee on Health, along with Committee members Councilmember Mary Cheh (D-Ward 3), Councilmember Yvette Alexander (D-Ward 7), and Councilmember Tommy Wells (D-Ward 6) voted to support the nomination of Wayne Turnage as Director of the Department of Health Care Finance.

“Wayne Turnage is an outstanding choice to lead the DHCF,” Catania said. “He is a talented and capable health care finance leader and I look forward to working with him to improve the quality of health care for District residents.”

With today’s committee action Director Turnage’s confirmation moves forward for consideration by the Committee of the Whole.
